Datenpool v9.2.0

by Aldin Bradaric in News

The latest version of the Datenpool introduces a variety of new features that will improve a user’s experience working with the Datenpool. Keep reading to find out more.

CHANGES/ EXTENSIONS

1. Upload files with drag and drop

The drag and drop function is a feature Datenpool users should be familiar with from using the multi upload tool. The same feature is now being offered when uploading single files. Either drag and drop your desired files or select them manually.

In addition, it is now possible to select files from different folders before uploading them collectively.

2. Restructuring of the administration page and moving the folder configuration

Instead of editing the access rights of a folder in the “Admin” tab, that function has now been moved to the “Overview” tab. The process itself remains the same, it’s only the location that has changed.

3. Warning regarding unsaved changes

The folder configuration itself was improved as well. A dialog was added that warns the user of any unsaved changes when selecting a different folder.

4. Modernizing the Datenpool icons

As the Datenpool is an ever-evolving tool, we’ve decided to update a majority of the existing Datenpool icons and modernize them in the process. You’ll discover those icons while using the Datenpool– nonetheless, below you can find a few examples of that modernization.

5. Viewing deleted attachments

If an attachment is deleted from a document, that action is logged in the history log. That deleted attachment can then be downloaded from the log.
We’ve now added the option to view the removed attachment right away without the need to download it.

6. Notification about new version in all views

If a document has a new version that is already being edited or reviewed, the document will be marked with a corresponding icon.

7. Additional filter options for messages view

Additional filters were added to the message module, making it easier to find specific emails.

8. Workflow notifications

In case a workflow is rejected, only the workflow author would be notified of it. However, due to full access users or groups having virtually the same access as the author, those persons have been added to the notification list.

9. Number of possible workflow steps increased

The number of possible steps a workflow can have has been increased to 15.
